  2. Prepare 1/2 cup Semolina (Suji)
  3. Use 3/4 cup Fresh or soup curd
  4. You need 1/2 cup Water (as per need)
  5. Provide 1/2 tsp Baking soda
  6. Prepare 1/4 tsp Eno fruitsalt
  7. You need Veggies for idli batter
  8. Provide 1/2 cup Carrots, bell pepper, green chilli (Finely chopped)
  9. Provide 1/4 cup Chopped coriander leaves
  10. Get 1 tsp Lemon juice
  11. Provide Spices for idli batter tempering
  12. Prepare 1/2 tbsp Oil (For tempering)
  13. You need 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
  14. Use 1 tsp Cumin seeds
  15. Prepare 1Pinch Asafoetida
  16. Prepare 1/2 tsp Bengal gram (chana daal)

Instructions to make Instant Masala Oats Idli:
  1. Grind 1 cup rolled oats to a fine powder in blender.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a pan on medium heat. Add cumin seeds, mustard seeds & asafoetida.
  3. Let the seeds sizzle & then add chana dal & urad dal. Saute till lentils are light golden in colour. Add green chilli, ginger & curry leaves. Saute for a minute.
  4. Add in Semolina, lower the heat to low-medium. Cook it for 3 minutes, stirring continuously.
  5. Then add the oats powder & mix. Let it cool down. Add grated carrot, chopped bell pepper (green,red,yellow), green chilli, peas(soaked in warm water for 15 min before adding), coriander leaves.
  6. Add turmeric, chilli flakes, salt & combine. Add yogurt, mix it to combine. Batter should be thick, let it sit for 10 min. Grease your idli pot with oil, pour water to steamer.
  7. Add eno fruit salt, lemon juice & little water to batter. Mix it immediately, you will see bubbles on top.
  8. Pour in idli molds. Steam idlis for 8-10 min till they are done. Check with knief or toothpick by inserting in idli, if they come out clean once done.
  9. Serve with hot sambar or coconut chutney.
