The ingredients needed to cook Stuffed Idli:
  1. Provide As needed Idli batter made of rice and udad dhuli daal
  2. Prepare 2 medium boiled potato
  3. Prepare 4 (5 cubes) paneer (optional)
  4. Use 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
  5. Provide 3-4 curry leaves
  6. Use Pinch Turmeric powder
  7. You need to taste Salt
  8. Provide 1 tsp Red chilli powder
  9. Take 1 tsp Chat masala
  10. Take Pinch Ajwain optional
Instructions to make Stuffed Idli:
  1. Make a well batter of idli and add 1tsp salt and 1 tsp of ajwain (optional) I use for taste. keep it aside.
  2. Heat oil in pan and add rai and curry patta. Add turmeric powder.
  3. Mash the boiled potatoes and mix it well. U can add paneer here if u like.
  4. Add all spices and give a good stir
  5. Let the mixture be cool completely.
  6. Start making thin small size tikki out of the mixture now.
  7. Put a half spoon of idli batter in mould, place the tikki and cover with another half spoon of batter. The batter quantity can be adjusted as per the mould size.
  8. In this way fill all the moulds and keep it on gas via placing the stand in cooker or it's own big pan.
  9. After 10mints, de mould the idli and cut into 2 halves and serve hot with coconut chutney
