The ingredients needed to make Lobia Masala Curry:
  1. Provide 1 cup lobia beans/black eyed beans/ chawli daal (soaked)
  2. Prepare 2 tbsp channa dal
  3. Take 2 medium size onions
  4. Use 2 medium size tomatoes
  5. Provide 2-3 Garlic Cloves
  6. Get 1 small piece Ginger
  7. Get 2 green chilies
  8. Take 1 tsp coriander powder
  9. Take 2 tsp red chilly powder
  10. Get 1 tsp turmeric
  11. Use 2 tbsp cooking oil
  12. Take to taste Salt according
  13. Prepare Chopped green coriander for garnish
  14. Get 1/4 tsp Garam masala
Instructions to make Lobia Masala Curry:
  1. Wash and soak the chawli / lobia for 5-6 hours.
  2. Peel and chop the onions, tomatoes, ginger, garlic and green chilies.
  3. Heat oil in a pressure cooker, add chopped onions, ginger, garlic, green chilies and tomatoes, mix well, saute this for 5-7 minutes until oil is separated from the gravy.
  4. Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chilly powder and salt to taste, mix well and saute for a minute.
