  1. Get 200 gm paneer (cut into small cubes)
  2. Get 1 potato
  3. Provide 1/3 cup curd
  4. Get 1/3 cup frozen peas (optional)

  6. Prepare 1.5 tbsp Pavbhaji Masala (store-bought)
  7. Provide 1 tsp cumin powder
  8. You need 1 tsp coriander powder
  9. You need 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  10. You need 1.5 tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder
  11. You need 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  12. Provide 1/2 tsp garam masala powder
  13. You need 1/4 tsp celery seeds (ajmud)
  14. Use 2 tsp ginger paste
  15. Get 1/2 tbsp kasuri methi
  16. You need Little less than 1/4 tsp of asafoetida (hing)
  17. Take salt as per taste
  18. Take sugar as per taste
  19. Take 1 tsp mustard oil (for gravy)
  20. Use 3 tsp mustard oil (to fry the paneer)
Instructions to make Dahi Wale Aloo Paneer:
  1. Heat the oil in a non-stick pan and fry the paneer until they are light golden brown
  2. Boil the potato and then mash it well
  3. Now take the curd in a large bowl & add all the powdered spices (except the garam masala), salt, sugar and sattu into it. Mix everything very well
  4. Now it's time to make the gravy. Heat the oil in a pan and add the celery seeds into it
  5. Saute for a while and then add the ginger paste & asafoetida
  6. Saute for a few seconds & then add the curd mixture
  7. Cook for few minutes & then add the peas
  8. Mix everything well & then add some water. Cook everything for few more minutes
  9. Then add the mashed potato into the pan & cook until all the ingredients are well combined into the pan
  10. Then add sufficient amount of water to make the gravy
  11. Once the water starts to boil cover the pan and let it sit on medium flame for about 6-7 minutes
  12. Then add the fried paneer cubes into the gavy & again put the lid on and let the pan sit on medium flame for about 5 minutes
  13. Lastly mix the garam masala powder and the kasuri methi & turn off the flame
  14. Dahi wale aloo paneer is absolutely ready to serve. It can be served with both the rice & roti
