- Prepare 3/4 cup : Yellow moong dal

Steps to make Yellow Moong Dal Dahi Bhalla:
- Take yellow moong dal in a bowl.
- Wash it properly and soak in normal water for 2 hrs. Drain it.
- Take mixer jar add drained dal and very little water. Beat it to smooth thick batter.
- Transfer the batter in bowl.
- Add salt and mix well.
- Mix batter very well with a spoon for 5 min till light and fluffy.
- Heat oil in a kadai / wok on medium flame.
- Pour a spoonfull of batter in hot oil.
- Fry it on medium flame till golden. It will take 4-5 min.
- Take bhalla out of the hot oil and drain on tissue paper.
- Repeat the same process for all the remaining batter.
- Keep aside till use.
- For soaking :
- Heat water in a pan till it is luke warm.
- Add salt and mix.
- Dip all the bhallas in this water for 10-15 min.
- Bhallas will become soft and fluff a little.
- In this soaking process bhallas leave extra oil in the water and soak the water.
- Take out bhallas from the water.
- Press each of them lightly so that the excess water should drain away from them.
- Place bhallas on a serving plate.
- For serving :
- Add curd in a bowl.
- Mix sugar and whisk well so that no lumps should remain.
- Pour curd on the bhallas.
- Sprinkle salt, red chilli powder, black pepper powder and cumin powder.
- Drizzle pudina chutney and imli chutney on it.
- Sprinkle boondi mixture on top.
- Moong dal dahi bhalla is ready to serve.
