- Get 200 gms paneer cut into bite-sized pieces
- You need 1 tbsp oil
- Prepare 2 tbsp butter
- Provide 1 medium onion finely chopped
- Get 1 green chilli finely chopped
- Take 1 1/2 tbsp garlic paste
- Take 1 1/2 tbsp ginger paste
- Provide 4 large tomatoes pureed (1 cup)
- Prepare 2 tbsp tomato puree

- Take 1 tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder
- Take 1 tbsp jeera powder
- Prepare 1 tbsp dhania powder

- Get 1 tsp kasoori methi
- Get 1 tsp garam masala

Instructions to make Paneer Butter Masala:
- Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a pan. You can use any oil except mustard oil. Add in 2 tbsp of butter.
- Once the butter melts, add in the chopped onions and saute until translucent. Add in the green chillies.
- Add in the garlic paste and ginger paste. Mix well and saute for a minute.
- Add in the pureed tomatoes and the tomato puree and saute until the tomatoes are cooked.
- Add in the dry masalas - salt, red chilli powder, jeera powder and dhania powder. Mix well and cook for a minute or two until you can see oil appearing on the sides.
- Add in the cream and mix well.
- Add the paneer cubes and mix until they are well coated. Add in the kasoori methi and the garam masala.
- Cover it with a lid and simmer for a few minutes.
