  2. Take 1 cup Yoghurt
  3. Take 1/2 cup Tomato Puree
  4. Take 2 tbsp Lemon juice
  5. Prepare to taste Salt
  6. Take 1 tsp Red chilli powder
  7. Take 1/2 tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder
  8. Take 1 tsp Ginger crushed (not paste)
  9. Get 1 tsp Garlic crushed (not paste)
  10. Use 4-5 Green Chillies
  11. Get 10-12 Almonds blanched
  12. Provide 1 tbsp Dessicated coconut
  13. You need 2 Onion medium
  14. Get 2 tbsp Oil
  15. Get 1/4 cup + 1 tbsp Butter
  16. Provide as needed Almond flakes to garnish (optional)
  17. Take as needed Cashews to garnish (optional)
  18. Take as needed Cilantro finely chopped
Instructions to make Chicken Kalia-E-Khaas:
  1. Marinate the chicken with yoghurt, lemon juice, red chilli powder, kashmiri red chilli powder, crushed ginger, crushed garlic and salt. Keep aside for 1 hour minimum.
  2. Make a paste of almonds and green chillies separately. Slice onions thinly and fry till golden brown (do not burn). Crush it well.
  3. Add chilli paste, almond paste and crushed onion in the marinated chicken and mix well.
  4. Hear 1/4 cup butter in a non stick pan, add tomato puree and cook till oil separates. Now add the marinated chicken stir. The yoghurt will release enough water to tenderise the chicken so you won't need water.
  5. Once the yoghurt releases water, close the lid and let it cook on medium low heat for 7-10 minutes. Keep checking in between. After 10 minutes, if you find the chicken pieces raw, add some water and cook the chicken till done. Add chopped cilantro and mix well. Garnish with almond flakes and cashews. Serve hot with bread of your choice.
