  1. Take puttu flour in mixing bowl. Add salt as required. Sprinkle water little by little and and bring to crumble stage. Use two hands to do this.
  2. Take puttu maker add water in the bottom vessel and let it boil unto bubbling stage. Now take the top part add the flour bottom layer, add grated coconut, add again flour, again coconut. Repeat this until top of the vessel. Close with lid.

Putti podi is coarsely ground rice flour. You can even use store brought rice flour too. Just roast the rice flour lightly till you see steam coming from it before making puttu.
