  1. For idli batter soak rice and urad dal for 4 to 5 hours and grind into a smooth paste add salt to taste and keep for fermentation. After fermentation pour batter into a thin layer in Dhokla steamer plate and steam for 2 to 3 minutes it should not cook fully.
  2. For Green chutney grind all the chutney ingredients mention above and pour on the top of idli. Similarly mix all the ingredients of Dhokla instantly and pour on the top of green chutney and now cover with lid and steam for 15 minutes.
  3. For tempering heat oil in pan add mustard seeds and cumin seeds once the mustard seeds crackle add green chilli and curry leaves and turn off the flame, now add sugar, water and mix well, pour this tempering over the dhokla and make into pieces.
  4. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot
