- Get 1 glass Chana dal (split Bengal gram)
- Provide 1&1/2 cup grated gud(jaggery)
- Take 1&1/2 cup Wheat flour
- Prepare 1/4 teaspoon Elaichi powder (Cardamom powder)
- Take 1 small glass Vegetable Oil
- Provide Pinch salt
- Provide 1 tablespoon ghee
- Take 1/4 teaspoon of haldi (turmeric)
- Take 1 small cup freshly grated coconut
- Use 1 medium cup rice flour
Steps to make Sweet Chapathi:
- Pressure cook Chana dal for four whistles. Let it cool down till it becomes a little warm.
- Once it's warm, in a blender make a fine paste of it.
- In a heated pan, add little ghee and Chana dal paste Then add coconut and jaggery. Add elaichi powder. Cook it till it becomes a smooth dough.
- In a bowl, take Wheat flour add a pinch of salt, and one fourth teaspoon of turmeric powder. Make a soft dough adding water a little bit at a time. Keep it aside for an hour.
- Make round balls of dough and chana dal paste and keep aside.
- Take the Wheat flour ball and add little oil to it and make small Chapathis.
- In the middle of the chapathi, place chana dal ball.Cover the entire ball with dough.
- Roll them into Chapathis using rice flour.
- Then place it on a heated tawa and roast them applying oil on both the sides on a medium flame.
- Serve it with ghee.
