- Use 0.5 Cup Split Bengal Gram Flour (Besan)

Steps to make Kadhi Pakora – Punjabi & Spicy:
- Mix split Bengal gram flour with water and make a thick batter. - Add all the ingredients to the batter and mix well.
- Once the batter has rested, make small balls with the batter and fry till they are golden brown.
- Make a slurry with yogurt (curds), red chilli powder, turmeric powder & water.
- Heat oil in a thick bottomed cooking pot and add mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds, cumin seeds, dried red chilis and curry leaves. Fry till fragrant.
- Add the slurry to the cooking pot and stir continuously till it thickens. Add sliced green chillies. This is when it is called a “Kadhi”. Boil it for 4 minutes.
- Add pakoras to the kadhi and boil for another 5 minutes so that they soak up the kadhi.
- Heat ghee in a tempering ladle and add one broken red chilli and half a teaspoon of mustard seeds.
- Your Spicy Punjabi Kadhi Pakoda is ready.
