- Use 3/4 cup urad dal / split black gram
- Get 1/3 cup Chana dal / split bengal gram
- Use 1/2 cup desi chana/desi chick peas
- Provide 1 pc. Tej patta / bay leaf
- Use 1 big onion
- Use 2 tomatoes
- Use 1 tsp.cumin seeds
- Provide 2-3 pc. Cloves
- Prepare 2 dry red chilli
- Use to taste Salt
- Take 1 tbsp ginger chilli garlic paste
- You need 1 tsp red chilli powder
- Prepare 1 tsp garam masala
- Prepare 1 tsp. Asofoetida
- Provide 1/2 tsp. Turmeric powder
- Take 1 tbsp. Corriender
- Take Pinch soda
- Get 2 tbsp ghee
- Use 1 tsp. Oil
Instructions to make Banjara Dal:
- Soak chana for 7-8 hrs. Soak dal for 1/2hr. Boil dal chana add salt and soda. Make 5-6 whistle.
- Heat ghee in a pan add tej patta cinnamon cloves dry red chilli crackle cumin seeds. Chopped onion and saute add ginger chilli garlic paste. Chopped tomatoes salt and saute properly.
- Now add boil dal chana mixture add 1 cup water garam masala turmeric powder stir well and cover the lid. Cook for 5-7min.
- Now make tadka :Heat ghee asafoetida dry chilli red chilli powder sprinkle chopped coriander on dal and pour tadka. Serve hot with rice chapati.
- Yummy delicious dal is ready to serve.
