The ingredients needed to cook Baked Chakali:
  1. Take 4 cup rice
  2. Get 2 cup chana dal(split Bengal gram)
  3. Provide 3/4 cup urad dal (split black gram)

  5. Take 1/4 cup sago
  6. Prepare 4 tbsp coriander seeds
  7. Prepare 2 Tbsp cumin seeds

Instructions to make Baked Chakali:
  1. For bhajani : Wash rice, chana dal, urad dal separately. Drain water and spread on muslin cloth for half an hour. Dry roast rice, chana dal, urad dal separately till it's dry. It should not turn red.

  6. Now knead it to soft dough. Divide the dough into two equal portions. Put one portion of dough into Chakali press and press out round swirls of the dough into a greased baking tray. Working closely from the centre to outside of the swirls
  7. Bake all the chakalis in a preheated oven at 180° c for 15 minutes., turn them over and bake them again for 15-20 minutes. Cool completely and store in an airtight container. Use as required.
