- Wash and drain palak. Put a pan with water and salt to boil(use that much water only where spinach will dip)
- When water boils put palak (don't cut, otherwise nutrients may leech)and cover for 2-3 mins and switch off the flame and leave covered for 5 more mins. now strain palak.
- When palak is cooled blend it with green chilli, tomato and ginger
- Heat up pan add oil then cumin then asafoetida then nutmeg powder and add palak paste once it starts boiling add besan, salt and stir nicely so that no lumps are formed(another way of adding besan is to add water to besan and make a lump-free paste)
